Evaluation Q3./ What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
The media institution used to distribute our product was an independent institution (Big Talk Productions) owing to us having a lower budget for our film. In addition to this, we included 'Pull Focus Productions' and 'Icon Pictures' in our running titles.
This meant that we weren't able to market and distribute as well as a film with a big budget. Less marketing meant that less profit was made which also includes unknown actors taking part.
This company was best suited to our film as it produces urban british films of which ours had elements of. Plus, being students, we had a lower budget than most big films would be able to obtain.
Marketing less together with a lower rate of advertising meant that the technology that we used varied.
CGI was not in our budget therefore we could not use that as well as expensive cameras. The camera we used was a simple JVC camera.
